This page is for my students who have had "Reiki Inspirations" as a result of taking Reiki training. This energy is very subtle and often we don't notice anything at first. I encourage my students to use it, use it, use it - and as the gap between "the self" and "Reiki" closes, the energy begins to guide our lives. When this happens - so too, does "inspiration". |

The first gift from one of my students in this regard comes from Christopher T.D. Greenwood. Chris took Level I Reiki training with me in October 2007. He is a young man who upon meeting, I sensed was someone with serious anger issues. He was "young" (and I mean no disrespect) - I'm not talking just age here, because we all know that many young (in age) are very old in wisdom. I felt his pain and the sadness in him and I so hoped he would incorporate the energy in his life. He is a musician and a recording artist. The energy had touched his life; who knew where he would go with it.
In October 2008 he decided to take Level II Reiki. I was simply amazed to see the young man walk into my office - more mature, wiser, grown up. I knew that before me stood a different person from the one I met one year ago. He came into the office with his guitar and a piece of paper in his hand and said, "A few days ago I wrote a Reiki-inspired piece of music and I want to play it for you at the end of the day . . ." His fellow classmates and I sat in awe of the words and the music as he played at day's end. The words, definitely, of healing - confirming what I had sensed when he came in just a few hours earlier.

Several years ago, I had the great good fortune to have on-going programs teaching Reiki to inmates in a couple of local correctional facilities. One of the Reiki students was inspired to write the following poem about Reiki. This has graced on our Reiki pages; however since this page is all about Reiki Inspirations, I wanted to move it here. :)
Bodies touch, energy transferred into Reiki,
unimaginable abilities placed in my touch
I morph from inmate to Reiki practitioner.
Instantly the will to accomplish positive things have been inspired.
Minds relaxed, intertwined between illusion and reality.
Emotions fixed upon calmness
Reiki truly works.
