Michelle's initial experience with the BioMat
I lay upon this mat and noticed a thumping in my body (not a heartrate thump mind you - just a thumping). I had little "owies" happening - an ache here, a pinch there - that didn't last. They simply came into my consciousness and left. Then I noticed that I felt REALLY out of balance, like my left side was wanting to fall off the table. How the BioMat is helping Hope Ann (Michelle's cat)
Hope Ann is an adoptee who was abused nearly 13 years ago. She came to me when she was seven months old. She has neurological deficiencies, walks with her head tipped, one eye never opened and closed properly, and she has always eaten out of one side of her mouth. Through her life we always fed her free-range human grade organic food. She received energy work and was strictly an indoor cat. She recently began receiving "kitty chiropractic" as well - it seemed she had a pretty good life, all things considered.
About 3-4 months ago she began vomiting at night. It wasn't every night; she might vomit one night and then go three or four nights. Some weeks she'd vomit every evening for four or five and then skip a night. I thought she may have developed an issue with the food, so I essentially spent three and a half months working with different foods, different feeding times, using only wet food for a while, mixing the foods and so on.
One Friday evening I had come to the end of my rope; she had vomited during the day and I said to my husband, "Monday I'm calling the vet." Any trip in the car is traumatic for Hope Ann and I had hoped to avoid this.
The Mini BioMat arrived that very same day. I was so excited to get it out and try it! My Little Miss was even MORE excited. She watched expectantly as I took the BioMat from its case and began setting it up. She looked like she couldn't wait for me to finish! I plugged it in, turned it on - and by the time I had the cover and towel over it she was nearly pacing in front of me. I turned to say something to my husband and she hopped right up on the BioMat, laid down and rolled on her side, looking triumphantly at me. I couldn't help but laugh. I let her stay there until it had warmed up for the suggested 20 minutes. She loudly protested when I told her it was time to move, but finally agreed to move to the top of the chair, so I could sit.
She didn't vomit that night. In fact, she has gotten on the BioMat every evening since and hasn't vomited once since doing this. She had one night when she said, "No, thank you" to the BioMat and her dinner did in fact come up. We are observing her to see what the BioMat does, but for now, she is her seemingly contented self once again.
Now, I must tell you that my original desire for this Mat was actually for our dog. At 6.5 lbs and nearly nine years of age, she has received chiropractic care since she was six months old.
